“A thrill of hope….The weary world rejoices!”
How very weary we are, exhausted by conflict, fear and grief. And yet, amidst this dark winter, Jesus comes. Emmanuel, God With Us. God here even now, for us, among us.
We are loved. We are redeemed. We are saved. Could it be true? A thrill of hope…Rejoice!
For 25 years at the University of Virginia, Theological Horizons has proclaimed the Good News: the inbreaking of God and the eruption of hope.
Here at the heart of academia, where “even youths grow tired and weary, and young people stumble and fall,” Theological Horizons provides rest and shelter. We offer an open door, a prayer, a word of wisdom, a welcoming hearth, a community of formation and transformation – and the comfort that “those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.”
Theological Horizons has experienced astounding growth, currently serving more than 12,000 believers and seekers, students, staff and faculty, community members and parents, partners and friends around the globe. We pray that, through our witness, “they will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” (Isaiah 40:30-31)
Will you sustain this labor of hope? In this weary world hungry for redemption, the innovative, emergent ministry of Theological Horizons is needed now more than ever.
I ask you to give generously and pray fervently for Theological Horizons, that together we may offer shelter in the storm to all who wish to come “once again, into our doors.” A thrill of hope awaits us all!
